3) Board of Conciliation
4) Court of Inquiry

Out of these conciliation officers, Labour Courts, Industrial Tribunals and National Tribunals are principal authorities, under the Act. The proceeding before these authorities, except conciliation proceeding, are just similar to the Civil Courts. However the provisions of the Evidence Act, in their strict sense are not applicable to the proceedings before them.
• Powers of the Court
A Labour Court and Tribunal are empowered to set aside orders of dismissal or punishments. The Courts first must satisfy themselves that the order in disputes was not justified (Section 11/A). The Courts can also pass other suitable and appropriate orders.
